This Week’s Sign of the Apocalypse: $9 Wings Tickets

The Red Wings certainly have had trouble with fan relations since the lockout, something blatently obvious in this year’s playoffs, when the team failed to sell out Joe Louis Arena for any playoff game. Now someone in the high-ups must have had a revelation – going on sale September 13th are tickets to a regular season Red Wings game for just $9. The tickets will be in limited quantities and released monthly throughout the season, but must be purchased at the JLA box office. The catched? A two-per-person ticket limit applies. Still, this makes the Red Wings games a great deal if you want to head to the rink with a friend. No word on exactly what section the tickets are from, but I have heard that there is no such thing as a bad seat in Joe Louis Arena — I can’t vouch for that myself, as I have yet to experience a Wings game. Perhaps this $9 offer will help change that.
